  1. It sounds like you don't know much about music or Black history. But yes, rap music predates Kurtis Blow, the Sedgewick apartment AND the entire canon of American music. Have you ever heard of Paul Laurence Dunbar, Boogie Woogie, the Harlem Renaissance or a griot? Those are all incarnations of a communication mode that has most recently manifested as "rap".   6. Hmm, saying "get off my nuts" would evade Limbaugh? I'm not sold on that 1. The fact that he knew it was a reference so nards means he had SOME context. Rush is WAAAAAAAAY to shrewd to pretend that he's drawing a black on that 1. Especially considering the fact that he was a pop deejay in in the mid-80s.   7. Don't get me wrong. I undertand that he lives in a virtual bubble. BUT, he's also a member of the media. He's been in the media for 25yrs now. He's come across rap as a medium. It's part of his job. Remember when he jumped all over Ludacris? JayZ is an executive at the very label to Ludacris is contracted. Limbaugh started off a pop music deejay. He ain't foolin' nobody. He knows.
