EXACTLY. don't get me wrong, i'm a socialist to some degree. there are some times when socialism isn't all bad, especially healthcare, public transportation, nat'l parks & (SOME) education. but that's in a perfect world where people are benevolent & the primary interest is doing the work & not turning profits. anyone who wants to hide an a gated community is so endowed but things like haggard happens & they see reality then they can't deal. i wish they understood

  4. there's no need to continue, mdumanovic is going to keep that perception & fight for it tooth & nail. irrespective of fact or reason, that guy is gonna continue to think he's a "libertarian". what he fails to recognize is the necessary trade offs that are needed in order to live. sure, in an ideal world, everyone could amply provide for themselves & their families. but (much of) the liberal construct takes account for those who don't have access. too bad people refuse to see the truth

  5. then again, you have socialized healthcare in canada. you have the luxury of 20/20 hindsight. here's in the states, where our population is almost 10x larger than yours, we worry about it. here in the states where we have an unemployment rate exceeding 14% of the populous, we worry about it. here where we have more health concerns, ew worry about it. you sound like a child commenting about an elderly person's arthritis complaints. you have a lot of growing up to do kiddo

  6. as a member of the social order, it's your requirement. you want access to democracy, you pay the price for it. that's part of the price. again, this isn't about the man (although he stills deserves to be helped). this is about the health of his child. YES, it's our responsibility as human beings.
