@ZerqTM fam, nobody can read that. Fix your syntax then come holler at me.

@ZerqTM lazy? You didn't have the wherewithal to do a remedial spell check. That aside, the notion that doing a crime is derivative of a mental health issue is bollocks. At some point, you have hold a person accountable. Is mental illness your fault? Of course not. But mental illness is your responsibility. I deal with clinical depression and you didn't see me melodramatically scaling a wall when I could've walked up a ramp. I didn't smear shit on the Rotunda walls. I didn't go take selfies with my feet on Nancy Pelosi's desk. This young man was deemed competent to stand trial. He saw his day in court. He's getting square with the house like every crook has to. That is the discipline.

@ZerqTM syntax (I never mentioned spelling at all) IS relevant. If you can't write for shit, it's not unfair to say you can't read for shit. And comprehension is how 1 determines if your point of view is relevant. That said, I'll circle back to my priori. Mental illness ain't an excuse here

@ZerqTM he IS guilty. Criminals ARE guilty... and it's you'RE; not youR. Fix your syntax.

@121Greenthumb I have dealt with clinical depression since childhood. Thus your premise is a fool's errand. And I'll validate that for you: there are countless schizophrenic people who AREN'T committing crimes that get them sent to prison. That is a fact. Setting that aside, I'm not buying that mental illness excuses. He is sane enough to request "organic food". He held himself together well enough to do this interview and commit the crime that garnered attention. He isn't a person whose cognition has failed. He had adequate mental competence to take that plea. So take your bullshit elsewhere.

@121Greenthumb that said, I hope he DOES do something more dangerous and gets himself drilled with lead for his troubles. That is the discipline. If it were a left-wing riot, my Black ass would've been killed and if not, be put under the jail.

@121Greenthumb all people also know that you're forfeiting your rights when you commit crimes. There are too many schizophrenia survivors that aren't in prison to qualify any argument you're making. So while I deeply appreciate your empathy, I can't take you seriously because real-life data nullifies your premise. Again, that is the discipline. Any crook, I mean ANY CROOK will tell you don't do the crime if you can't do the time. He wasn't some person who was off his Clozaril and Cogentin. He made a lucid decision. His politics are well documented. My father was a PhD candidate among many other things. But he always identified as a farmer; a cotton picking sharecropper from Mississippi Delta. To say that he was full of wisdom would be a tragic understatement. He would often say, "fat meat's greasy". What it means is that there some things in the known universe that absolute and obvious. Of course bumrushing The Capitol on Inauguration Day is a crime. Of course fat meat is greasy. Let him (Jacob) learn just how greasy fat meat is.

@121Greenthumb when you commit crimes, you forfeit your rights. Rape a woman, that's 4yrs. Rob someone while threatening him, that's 8yrs. Try to but don't succeed in killing man, that's at least 12yrs. Murder a person, that's 25 to life. Murder and rape a person, you can sit in Old Sparky for that in a few states. Treason? He's lucky he got off with this mild punishment

@121Greenthumb PRISON is absolutely obvious. Don't want solitary confinement? Don't commit crimes that land you in solitary confinement. I know quite a few schizophrenic people who've managed to avoid prison... by keeping their probosces out of crime.
