  1. That's nonsense. No comedian likes a heckler. It ruins timing. You can't build momentum in a joke. You'll lose your place unless you have your material down pat. What's different (if there is a difference) is how the Jimmy Carrs & Richard Herrings of the world handle the heckler. As for this instance, I used to say rape ain't ever a funny joke... until I heard Carlin & CK do their bits. The latter did it to a heckler on his tv series.

  2. Basketball is an artform too. Just look at some old Bulls reels if you wanna see some hoop-art or watch a slam dunk contest. But Jayar is correct. Comedy is your job it you're a comedian. There's no need to get fiercely malicious... if it's not in the spirit of humor.
