  5. Neither you nor I can say what condition he was in. Nine shots fired doesn't mean nine shots connected. A tazer fired doesn't mean a tazer connected either. But you're splitting hairs either way. I said the kick may have been done to get the weapon out of the guy's hand. That still holds up to reason.

  8. Fair point, you shouldn't have to get stabbed trying to apprehend a guy with a knife. BUT, you have superior numbers. You have superior weapons. The use of lethal force, even on a guy with a knife (they're actually more dangerous than guns). But this is a kid with a knife. It could've been handled better.

  9. Yes, he age IS pertinent. We are a world of individuals. A 6'5", 230lb man at age 18 (like I was) is different threat than a 5'11", 160lb pipsqueak. Again, the cops had superior numbers & superior weapons. The kid wasn't at a distance where he was harmful to anyone. Belligerence only goes so far when people's lives are at stake. You sometimes have to protect people from themselves. Being psycho doesn't mean you need to be "put down". Stop trolling.
