@TheDalinkwent "civil union" IS half-assed & you don't have to be gay to see that. It's indicative of Christian arrogance that would have people believe that they are somehow, spiritually superior because they subscribe to a certain belief. But worst of all, instead of loving thy neighbor, they're thelling thy neighbor how to live his own life.

@TheDalinkwent It's because all this time, religious people were under the illusion that they are "superior". They very minute they have to recognize someone else's equality, they don't have an advantage nor do they get to feel smug. You put it a very interesting way too. "I think religion is a cancer to our way of life but I wouldn't start a crusade to pass laws to stop from practicing even thought their worldview DOES effect my way of life." It's funny.
