  2. btw, those of us on the left don't all agree on the topic. ultimately though, it's about human rights. i think it should be marriage leave it at that. some believe that civil union should be the name with the same rights & privileges. to me it's about equality. but i don't expect everyone to think like i do. but you can't make generalizations about "the left" that's stupid. i don't assume every republican to have the same thoughts. this ain't star trek; you ain't borgs... are you?

  4. i still think there's a logical fallacy there because he doesn't factor in the other variables associated with crime. ie, there was a an expansion of the middle class. kids were scoring higher on tests in high school (implied causal link to improved education). but i agree, levitt makes a very good case
