@gmcjetpilot No idiot, how dare YOU. But while I'm daring you, I'll also tell you to reread my remark. I said that if you view the entire world as White & non-White, you're a racist. I guess you haven't learned to read yet. And yes, people of all races have axes to grind. The Tibetans have issues with the Chinese. Indians have issues between castes. Maories have had issues with White colonization of the S. Pacific. I could go on forever. Are you really this dumb?

@gmcjetpilot And most of all, if you think cultural sensibilities aren't attached fashion (part of a Western person's residual self-image), you're just plain stupid. OF COURSE, my sense of style is informed, at least in a small part, by my race. Shit, pop culture (urban culture) is informed in large portion by BLACK culture. Fashion IS a part of culture. There's a reason you don't see too many straight-laced White men wearing dreadlocks & dashikis. How does that escape you?

There's more than 1 way to see this 1. On the 1 hand, the United States has a history of having things be unofficially White since its inception. On the other hand, we can't critique inequity unless we use total equity in our own practices. At the end of the day, the prospect for whatever position has to meet qualifications. I don't think being Black is a qualification per se. BUT I understand that the physical & cultural differences may play a part. How large a part is the nuance here.

@gmcjetpilot Dude, the postulate you presented (Hispanics & Asians con't complain so why should Black?) lets me know what your worldview is. The fact that you'd try to ignore the issues saying "I hate race crap" simply means that you're afraid of the reality. Institutional racism is real. It's not whine-fodder. Moreover, Shirley Sherrod's remarks were taken way out of context. And while Ms. Davis may seem racist, you're missing an important part: eery other fashion mag that's published in this country has been unofficially White for YEARS. You know I'm correct. BTW, if there's a Black country we're taking ALL of it.
