@blueiguy1 EXACTLY. In fact, John Sutherland, the best friend of the John Birch Society's founder AND the guy who offered a $100K bounty on MLK's life was deeply involved in the States Rights movement. It's said that his organization, the Southern States Industrial Council, had the motto: States Rights-Racial Integrity. People treat Rick Sanchez like a dumb football player but they fail to realize that he actually knows his stuff.

1 "cotton-picking President" isn't a big deal. Foghorn Leghorn uses that colloquialism all the time. 2 "states rights" IS a racist term if you understand the historical context. 3 9m IS approx 27' but most Americans don't make that conversion in their heads. Sanchez was throwing his viewers a bone. 4 I didn't know there were volcanoes in Iceland either... until 6th grade. 5. Many Americans can't find the US on a map (ask Caitlin Upton). It's intuitive that Sanchez throwing another bone.

@PumpingSmashkins Check the punchlist I posted in my 1st comment. I'm not saying that every gaffe of Sanchez's (not even every gaffe in this mashup) can be explained away. But I've caught his show once or twice. He's anything but but a gibbering idiot. He's thoughtful. He's opinionated. He's often wrong. He's often laser-accurate. At the end of the day, he's a human; just like you & me.

@PumpingSmashkins Again, you've no right to determine warrants of smugness. You're not the arrogance police or snob commission. At the end of the day you're just name calling. That's not extremely mature.

@PumpingSmashkins "...obviously extremely dim..." Evidence? Furthermore, who are you to decide the metrics upon which someone is allowed to be smug? The last time I looked we were in a free country. If he's smug it may be unsavory but it's his prerogative. His remarks about liberalism weren't about lib politics as you assumed. He was citing the aspect social theory that decides for individuals instead of individuals deciding. That eluded you because you're too concerned with his smugness.

@1Mastermind1990 More attempts to validate your argument that's based on your antiquated outlook? Nice try idiot.

@1Mastermind1990 I see you won't accept being wrong either. But you make sure you enjoy your day & the rest of this week. Go Giants.

@1Mastermind1990 Take a look at the comments you posted idiot. You absolutely said I wasn't Black. I think your own level of comprehension is the problem. If it's a racial slur, in your estimation, how can it NOT be directed at a Black president? C'mon dude, you're making this too easy for me. I'm actually not insulting you. "Idiot" was a clinical term for a person with a mental age of 7. If anything, I'm giving you too much credit. That's IF we're still using anachronisms. Right? You lose.

@1Mastermind1990 It was a slur 300yrs ago. It's since become a minced oath. I've even asked my old man the etymology of it. Yes, you're an idiot if you think we're still living in the 19th century. In any case, it's not a racial slur directed at Mr. Obama because of his race. If you take anything away from this, at least pick up on that nuance. Idiot.

@1Mastermind1990 It wasn't a joke my friend. You actually thought you had some traction. I'm literate. I understand theme. There's no skewed context. You just oversported. Enjoy your loss.

@blueiguy1 I'm not saying I agree with everything he says. I didn't agree with everything in his rant that got him fired. But to treat him as a summary idiot isn't that good. Wesley Clark actually DID pull a swiftboat on John McCain. In short, anyone can piece together soundbytes & make the speaker look less than good. But some real reflection & analysis often yields a different result... unless your name is Weiner (Savage), Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity or O'Reilly.
