Not all Asians are high income earners. As an Asian man, I am sick of this narrative being pushed out when a lot of us are struggling just like everyone else to get by. And NO, I am not a slacker.

@ithought_so6438 I am not putting my focus on skin color. I am stating what is blatantly obvious under the guise of so called "equality" when there's nothing "equal" or "fair" about these discriminatory practices. Even my coworkers know this. If it's all about "handwork" then I should be considered for a role in management. There is such a thing as being too hardworking that you will never get promoted because you keep productivity numbers up to offset the lazy ones who don't work. That's why I am planning my exit strategy.

@CrzyD-cv8xz My ancestors were struggling to make ends meet. What do you think Asia was a hundred years ago? Much worst than it is today.

@NeygarzruinedAmerica Successful doing what? I have Asian friends. The people who are very successful are exceptions, not the norm. Most Asians are just like everyone else.

@ithought_so6438 To start with, considering leaving Canada. Sick of the politics here. Everyone is all about diversity, equality and inclusivity and all this garbage - newsflash, unless you're dark skinned, and come with ovaries, you aren't going to get far. I have personally experienced this much to my dismay. Doesn't matter how hard I work. Promotions are for the well connected and lazy.

@anthonyhoang5902 You need to be well connected and in an industry that PAYS. Detail oriented in what exactly? Are you talking about computer programming? Coding?

@Steveanselm Yeah, and these generalities are toxic and don't paint an accurate picture. It's just something that Asians "rejoice" in because it sounds good irrespective of what's actually going on in the real world. It's exasperating to hear.

@TheBeginnerviolin I live in an area with a lot of Asians and a lot of them aren't well off. So again, its statements like that "we are wealthy on average" - that's absolutely ridiculous. The only reason you can make that statement is because you have some money in the bank, but seriously how wealthy are you? Are you a millionaire, billionaire? Just because I have $20,000 saved doesn't make a whole lot of difference when I will never be able to afford to buy a house. But I am "wealthy" next to everyone who doesn't even have so much as $500 in their bank account.
