  5. How can you compete against state run subsidies? It doesn't matter what you do or how much value you add to the car you produce. Why can't you comprehend that simple fact? Also, not everything is all about price. China's EV's have a lot of problems like spontaneous combustion. These cars haven't even been tested extensively for safety. And we all know that China constantly flouts international standards with regard to safety.

"If a nation can't compete, work harder" - So countries that aren't China are just supposed to magically subsidize car companies to produce cheap EV's despite being privately owned and goes against market capitalism in the developed world? There is no competition here. It's called exploiting loopholes which also goes against the WTO which China IS a signatory.
