  1. I'm from the Philippines and yes, foreigners don't understand that the Philippines has a "tier system" for the kinds of girls they date. A lot of foreigners will go for a "bar girl" because it's all they can get. Yes, the top tier girls will go for high quality guys (rich local guys) as well even in a third world country like the Philippines - what they don't understand is that not everyone in the Philippines is desperate (especially the top tier girls) and just waiting for foreigners to sweep them away. Even the pretty girls will go for a rich older man if it benefits them. A lot of these foreigners coming to the Philippines aren't rich to begin with so they settle for girls with lower socio economic status and girls from the countryside - a lot of men generally avoid them unless if they're from the same socioeconomic background themselves. Btw, avoid girls with large families - as a foreigner, guess who they see as a walking ATM?
