  2. I used to work in a payday loan store which also accepts gold. Most people who are selling their gold sell at a loss. Gold itself does nothing. It's purely speculative. Who is going to buy their gold when times are tough? Will it even be sold at a healthy profit margin? Chinese never learn like with their real estate.
