  2. You don't need a Phd to become an engineer. Researchers and professors, yes, but most jobs don't require one.

  5. Degrees have become a pointless money grab. It also doesn't help that the previous generation keeps pushing this outdated view that you need a degree for potential employers to even give you a chance - Based on my experience this has never ever been the case. Not once have I ever been asked about my education. Getting an education is just pure cope at this point. It's something people get to make themselves "feel better" that they're doing something that will help them when in actuality it holds little to no value in today's world. Most jobs out there don't require a degree since there's on the job training anyways, rendering degrees overhyped and ultimately pointless unless your field of study is highly technical.

  12. Sad that they don't push trade schools in China since the perception is that blue collared work is considered "low class" when majority of good paying jobs are there.
