@tanalson and that's why they will never be anything more than they are. That backward way of thinking leaves you with little to no recourse but to be powerless. No self awareness to change. Just keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results - the very definition of insanity. And they wonder why they are backwards?

@jackcat3745 It's still a backwards country. Nothing has really changed other than the fact that they drive modern cars and wear modern clothes.

@tanalson I don't think this has anything to do with losing face per se. If opportunities are limited, you are going to grab hold of whatever comes your way.
