  2. A lot of rich people especially old moneyed people don't flaunt because getting kidnapped for ransom is a real consequence of such action. People who have a lot to loose act this way. Ironically the new rich and fake rich are cosplaying what they think how a "wealthy" person should act.

  5.  @Anton43218  For one, you have different cultures and customs. Even the way they relate to each other is different. Regional differences also exist and have existed for quite a while even before they became the China we know today.
