  2. Her injuries were not superficial. She had a cut on her neck, that came within a hair of severing her carotid artery. Her necklace was embedded in that cut . According to Darlies medical record, she lost ALMOST half her total blood volume . She was very close to death. The bruising was present on her arm, was present in the hospital. And like ALL bruising , became worse over the next several days. Their home was not in foreclosure. Darins business had made over 100,000, in the first 6 months of that year. A little below the previous year, but not a major loss.
