Another woman said she had been threatened because Haitians are sleeping in her yard, and she and hubby have lived in their home 45 years, but were going to move. They are not safe.

  9. I was a firefighter for many years. My entire family of in laws are firefighters. Dad is Fire Chief. So, i married into it . I did more fire base, (receiving tones, copying dispatch, updates ,etc) instructions, and patient care. I also did support for the fire department. My husband and Dad in law would not allow me to go into a house fire. I was simply not physically able to do what a man could. I've delivered babies at home, worked car accidents, etc. I cleaned and rolled fire hoses, i made sure every med bag was restocked and ordered things needed. I kept up with donations, and made sure the kids in our community had a safe Halloween and toys for Christmas. That's what Women do. Although, I'm trained, i could carry 140 pounds 3 flights of stairs with 50 plus pounds of gear on, i still did not go into fires. My Dad in law and husband flat refused.
