  1. I was a firefighter for many years. My entire family of in laws are firefighters. Dad is Fire Chief. So, i married into it . I did more fire base, (receiving tones, copying dispatch, updates ,etc) instructions, and patient care. I also did support for the fire department. My husband and Dad in law would not allow me to go into a house fire. I was simply not physically able to do what a man could. I've delivered babies at home, worked car accidents, etc. I cleaned and rolled fire hoses, i made sure every med bag was restocked and ordered things needed. I kept up with donations, and made sure the kids in our community had a safe Halloween and toys for Christmas. That's what Women do. Although, I'm trained, i could carry 140 pounds 3 flights of stairs with 50 plus pounds of gear on, i still did not go into fires. My Dad in law and husband flat refused.
