When the ussr collapsed in 1991, most form annexed countries by russsia , ran from russia as fast as they could, made a democracy, and applied to NATO, remember we did not ask them they begged us because they where scare shitless of russia, and wanted protection from NATO and articel 5. In 2014 ukraine wanted to do the same , and agreed to seek the EU cooperation trade agrement and later perhaps request NATO membership, but former ukraine president did not honor the choice of his people and thats why we got the maidan riot, the very next day former president yanokovych fleed to russia ,and the very next day russia annexed cremia and strated the uprising in donbas. russia knew that ukraine would also be "lost" to the west , democracy of possible NATO, and Putin would not allow that, because then he and bellarus would be the only criminal regimes in europe and if you are a criminal, you want criminals around you, and criminals yiu can control, like former ukranien president yanokovych. So yes america is doing ukraine a great favor in helping them. Take korea , in that war the us supported south korea and russia supported noths korea, it ended up with a divided korea.. Where would you rather be in north or south korea ? in ww2 japan attacked the US , still the us helped japan get back on their feet, gave them democracy and today they are amoung the richest countries in the world, they did the same for germany despite all germanys cruelty, and today germany is europas richest country: So yes I am fine with the Us sort of being thw worlds police , otherwise we would all be living under a regime rule, like in russia, china, north korea, iran syria and the likes .
