@wyvernliberatus8474 for the same reason people use Greenwich as the 0 meridian or any other standard. Someone has to be the inventor of standards and sometimes its' not going to be you.

Some British people only defend it because they would defend any stupid thing with the label "British" on it. They want to feel special even if it means "special."

@lbbotpn5429 it impacts everyone negatively as it makes trade much harder when there are different standards and measurements and types of power and so on.

HMS Thunderchild is so heroic and its actions so just and it's name so great that it deserves for this scene to be about it. The human drama here is the people who valued others lives so much that they cast their fear aside and offered their own instead - that's love.
