  1. Interesting. I don't think China is about to back off electric just yet and Europe has moved so those car companies are going to give up their international potential by not doing R&D? I think not. There is just a reason for them to try to sell every last possible ICE car that they can to maximise the use of their current assets. Meanwhile they can be all environmental overseas if they have to with all the benefit of their big ICE sales at home.

  3. Porsche EVs have gears so I doubt its' a problem - it's not like they need many ratios. They'll be going for this for the torque.

  4. This kind of reactor has been under development for a long time - I'm not sure what the problems were but it has had troubled development in various places.

  7. It's new understanding that's letting them become useful. I don't want to say what's wrong but IIRC the diameter of these new ones is much less than before and that has made them useful in cars.
