  1. He wasn't that bad (and I say that as a former conservative), but the UK press is owned by people who didn't like him and he wasn't able to get his reasonable points across. You can see on here how hyped up and ridiculous some of the complaints against him were. He didn't appeal to people like me who might have voted for Blair if we thought we had to.
