  1. It's emotional so you can't get through to Brexiters - they feel deeply inferior to immigrants who they cannot look down on - and the English ones just cannot get over the idea that they can't be the top dog in the EU like they are at home in their existing Union.

  2.  @rcsart6409 that is the first line of defence English people tend to use to any criticism and I'm 1/2 English myself so I understand it. "Move on" is a lovely one too but usually it is someone who wants to get away from the consequences of their actions who is so keen to do it.
