  1. Wonderful explanation, great effort put into it. Whoosshed over my head unfortunately. Lost you at the point where you introduced e to a complex number. It all sounds so reasonable that I feel stupid about it but I can't follow from there. e.g. it isn't clear (to me!) how you can multiply g(t) which is a property of the input by e^(2pi*f*t) which is the length of the part of the circle that the vector has moved across and end up moving the vector in and out - how that happens to be the length of the vector - or if it isn't that then what actually it is.
