Your parents, especially your dad is a very compassionate and sympathetic gentleman who has a big heart. I commend him for his understanding, compassion and generosity.
Unfortunately, the reality of it is that in today's society there are many people (not all) that as renters who fall upon hard times will take advantage of the situation, use the system to take advantage of the landlords, knowing full well that the laws work in their favor - not the landlord's.
This same circumstance can be seen with the multitudes of homeless encampments across the nation, where the homeless know that they can set up camp along any public roadway or area and there is little if anything that the public, whether it be homeowners, law enforcement, or local ekected officials can do, because the laws work in their favor.
We, well, many in our current society have become too sympathetic/empathetic and lenient to those that are homeless, so much so to the point that we allow it to become not only an eyesore but a health and safety issue, not to mention a financial burden to local economy (business and tourism revenue) and the TAX paying residents - renters and homeowners. This is a systemic problem, a conundrum that we have brought upon ourselves.
I understand people can fall upon hard times and need a helping hand from-time-to-time - that-fine. I too was homeless for a short while during my teen years - so I know what it's like. However, we must keep in mind that ultimately each individual is responsible for his or her own self. One shouldn't have the mindset to just give up and rely on the system the rest of their life - as long as they are perfectly capable of working.

Republican politicians are spineless and have no balls to stand up for the people and the Constitution and denounce Trump for what he truly is, a conniving, corrupt, egotistical, lying, manipulating, misogynistic, narcissistic, racist, tyrannical, psychopath.

@mmd2156 In short, Russia can't be trusted. We currently see why with the war/invasion happening over the past month in Ukraine. Ukraine posed absolutely no threat to Russia. Why did Putin feel that he needed to take over Ukraine with brute force? What's Putin's end game? If he does conquer Ukraine, what does he hope to do with a former country/land that is, to put it mildly, in shambles? Most all infrastructure, roads, bridges, apartment complexes, residential homes, convalescent homes, office buildings, hospitals, schools, universities, airports, bus and train terminals, museums and galleries, restaurants, stores, parks, forests, zoos, radio and television stations, electrical power stations and delivery lines, water and sewage treatment plants are destroyed. Putin and Russia don't have enough money to tear down and rebuild Ukraine. He's destroyed the livelihoods and displaced millions of innocent people. All their hopes and dreams, any normalcy of life...gone. For what? Because he feared that Ukraine was going to join NATO and be protected from him. The Ukrainians had good reason to want to join NATO, to protect them from the exact thing that Putin is doing..
I believe, if Putin is not put into check, he will not stop with just Ukraine. He will proceed in trying to take over Moldova next. I forsee WWIII on the horizon. It's eminent.

@martysamson3635 Your views and opinion are very very delusional, and that's probably putting it mildly. I wouldn't be one to support anything Trump says or does - he is an ego maniacal, narcissistic, psychopath who manipulates people and lies to attain whatever outcome he so desires.
You say Ukrainian's are horrible people. That they should fight and defend their land. Well.....let's put things into perspective for you: The Ukrainian people are being aggressively attacked and displaced from their homes and livelihoods by a much larger country whose military outnumbers their own by 5 to 1, and is led by a psychopath who has no regard for human life - be it Ukrainian or Russian. I'm sure that if an enemy army bombed and invaded your town and displaced your friends, family and neighbors, cut you off from food, money, essential utilities, and five men kicked in your front door and shot up your house, you are going to fight them off with ease - ah yeah, sure, good luck with that. These innocent people - the Ukrainians just lost everything, EVERYTHING! It's no wonder that when they arrived in Poland that they resort to drinking and smoking. Believe me, chances are you would do the same thing too. Be realistic?! Put yourself in their place. Cut them some slack and try and show some empathy and be sympathetic to their hardship. You should be grateful that you do not have deal with such circumstances, tragedy and turmoil.
