Yeah, even the U.S. Census asks what nationality, race, or ethnicity one is.
It makes me frustrated that the Census doesn't consider people who are of Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, or Greek descent to be Latinos (The five nations of Latin origin) but anyone born who is of Mexican, Central American, South American, or Caribbean descent to be both Hispanic and Latino. The should not be considered Latinos. They should be considered Hispanics. I'm 2/3 Italian, yet I'm not considered Latino. I'm more Latino than most Mexicans here in the states.
