  1. Yes. I believe all seafaring ships have to have insurance. I government will see to it that the ships insurance company pays for damages, rescue, salvage, disposal, and reconstruction, even if it means our government needs to foot the costs for now. Eventually, the ship company/owner from India will have to pay up and reimburse the U.S..

  9. Neither God nor Jesus can help humanity now. Why would they want to? Would you take care of your neighbors sick and dying family? Would you pay for your former presidents legal fees and punitive damages? Would you try and stop Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, or Barbie cue? Probable not, would be my guess. So, why should they help?
