  1. I believe they do this for two reasons: 1.) To inform the public with news and opinions from politicians and high-ranking military personnel/advisors in an impartial manner void of bias. 2.) By doing so, they hope to educate and inform the public of the opinions, beliefs, and mannerisms of those politicians and military advisors, inspiring the public to form their own consensus, to which they can make rational and logical decisions when it comes to the ballot box on election day.
