  6. At one point in time even the ancestors of today's Native Americans were immigrants. However, those were vastly different times. Only a fool will say open our borders to the disparaged. I say this, because it is a fool that doesn't realize that our nation, as a whole, it's economy, it's infrastructure, it housing availability and affordability, it's natural resources, and it's environment can not sustain anymore people than what we already have. It is a fool that doesn't realize that overpopulation is taking a detrimental toll on our entire planet - let alone the toll of what several million immigrants will have on just the United States. Generosity is a grandiose gesture, but in this sense it must be met with common sense and logic.

  8. You are right about the housing. However, it really isn't up to the president to solve immigration. Immigration is a matter that Congress has to address, as they have the power to do so, because they have the power of the purse, meaning that they control spending. The president has very little if anything to do with solving immigration. Title 42 was passed by a Republican controlled Congress and given the green light of approval by Trump - also a Republican.

  9.  @darcihoudeshell2588  Yes. I agree. Unfortunately, it is not our problem if the migrants are turned away and have no place to go. It is their own fault for assuming we (America) will welcome them with open arms, open wallets, and open homes.
