I don't believe this incident falls under the "Stand your ground" law. The young man merely knocked at the door of the residence he believed his two siblings were at. As far as we know, he presented no threat. He was out on the front porch/doorstep. He did not enter the home. The 85 year old home owner shot the young man once in the head, causing the young man to fall backwards on the front lawn/walkway. The homeowner then proceeded to shoot him once more in the head. This means the homeowner pursued the defenseless young man after the first shot, which constitutes stalking, not self-defense, and not stand your ground. The homeowner shot the young man outside his home, not inside. Had the young man entered the homeowner's house uninvited, the the homeowner would be better justified in shooting the intruder. Thus, the "Stand your ground" law would hold up better in court as a defense.
As from what we currently know, the homeowner should be found guilty of attempted 2nd degree murder with malice. Being that he's 85, the judge may go easy on him.
