I believe that our forefathers, the authors of the Constitution and The Bill of Rights could not have possibly foreseen or conceived the manufacturing of repeating firearms such as revolvers, semi-automatic small arms, and assualt rifles. Had they, I'm certain that they would have added more stipulations than what is contained in just two short sentences that cement the Second Amendment. I believe we have reached a time in the societal growth of our country that the Second Amendment should be amended to adjust and account for rapid-fire weapons in today's age. We must also educate ourselves, and ask ourselves....Why is it that Windsor, Ontario Canada has had only a couple of homicides committed with the use of a firearm in the past 40 years, while right across the bridge in Detriot Michigan has over 300 homicides committed EACH YEAR with the use of a firearm? Why is that? Why does San Francisco with a population of one million people have a considerably less death-by-firearm rate than it's neighbor across the Bay, Oakland, which not only has the highest per capita homicide rate in the country but also has less than half the population of SF?
