  1. Anything that demonstrates technology beyond our Earthly realm should be studied. Such technologies could be thousands, millions or even billions of years ahead. So who are we to say that "they can't get here from there". Many "smart people" (especially astronomers) have been wrong before. Like in the past one of them said powered flight was impossible, but around the same time the Wright Brothers, not scientists but bicycle mechanics, made the first powered flight.
