Russia is an Orwellian state ruled by an autocrat Putrid the despot. The atmosphere of paranoia inside Russia is extreme that even smoking and eating sunflower seeds near the eternal flame gets charged for "nazism". Lots more examples around, most famous is jail for father whose daughter just drew an anti war drawing. No sane person would want to live in current Russia.

@ХачуняМику Not civil war in 2014 but Russia invading Crimea and Donbas which broke both Budapest and Minsk treaties. The separatist movement was just a cover. Zelensky simply inherited it. This is why Poroshenko was always proud of the arm forces he build in his interviews.

@ХачуняМику Majority of the casualties came from Russian shelling, sometimes Russia themselves shelling civilans in occupied territories and blame Ukraine to start fresh new conflicts (this is not new, also seen in this Ukraine war recently). There's also footage of Russian soldiers entering civilans houses as a firing point with civilans still living inside. That is human shield tactic, something that even Igor Girkin had admitted using.

Crimea invasion was not peaceful, there is bloodshed "During the Russian annexation of Crimea from 23 February through 19 March 2014, six people were killed. The dead included three protesters, two Ukrainian soldiers and one Russian Cossack paramilitary". Never trust Russian false referendums. Look at Kherson recently. People protested against occupation, and rejoiced when Ukrainians liberated them.
