  1. I own a small EV now for 5 years and can witness: the yearly cost driving it is 1/3 of the same model 1.0l ice car. That’s without maintenance and repairs, wich are cheaper for an EV so far. That’s 1/3 while charging at home, 100% electricity from the net, to get the clearest view. So that’s a given, no matter how many km you ride a year. In reality, i have solar panels and a home battery, so seen over a year, i produce 1/3 of my electricity myself. So in my case, the cost is 2/9 of the ice equivalent. More km would bring the price closer to 1/3 of course.
