  1. That and an overview of Sensors Multitool or somesuch, because phone site specs lied about my XA1 having a gyro, so now i'm still stuck with useless cheap VR glasses.

  2. They tend to be the only ones with gyroscopes and compasses, so if you want VR without buying expensive glasses and an expensive desktop, they are worth it. Many phone sites lied about my XA1 though. At least its cam is good.

  3. I have a Sony Xperia XA1, but it lacks gyro, compass, and comfy resolution (720p is ugly in Google Cardboard). Strange to hear proper hardware still having problems; have you tried non-Cardboard VR apps yet?

  4. Probably a money scheme by Google, else they'd just check/use the hardware like VR Media Player, Arts & Culture, and "Sensor fusion demo" do. The latter only lets me look up and down on my new phone.
