When 60 percent of the inflation is comprised of rising corporate profits (ie. price gouging) they don't want to see it.

Except we have been privatizing and deregulating since Reagan so the problems are actually caused by the opposite of what you said.

The problem I have is the CEOs expecting ceo-type wages.

Might it help if Amazon paid taxes?

Are you serious? We need to get out this mindset and recognize that the two parties are virtually identical. This is just a continuation of the downward spiral of bleeding the middle class and working poor to further enrich the 1 percent. Uninterrupted since Reagan.

I wish we had thought of that when the fed was literally paying oligopolies to borrow money. That's what you get when you let corporations write the government's pandemic response policy.

Be careful about pointing out true things. You will be accused of being a hammer-and-sickle loving Russian agent.

Looking forward to reading your dissertation on how $2k stimulus checks caused the inflation and not the $trillion giveaway handed over unconditionally to the largest corporations, pumped daily into the stock market, and loaned at negative interest rates. Also how current profiteering by big oil (now reporting record profits) has nothing to do with record gas prices. I didn't get my economics degree from Yale, like Dr. Wolff, but it isn't from Liberty University either.

Excellent point.

@vaikjsf34a which are antithetical to the classical economic capitalistic theory. Our system has very little in common with that envisioned by Adam Smith. We have oligopolies and outright monopolies, which is what happens when capitalism fails.
