  2. This discussion fails to recognize that the American and Chinese models are not leading us into the future together. They are fundamentally opposed and one must fail while the other succeeds. One system enriches a few at a brutal cost to the many. The other recognizes that the human family cannot endure and flourish by eating it's young. Whether or not you see it, the world is choosing its path right now.

  4. I'd rather people had food, actual education, and housing than warm fuzzy feelings. Sorry to push back, but this "footprints" kind of pablum is a tool to keep the majority of people underfoot while a very few live lives of unimaginably decadent excess.

  5. Liberalism places individual liberty above all other values including society as a whole. It has failed utterly to account for negative externalities.
