@BocaoZ fascism exists on a scale. It is generally authoritarian and ultranationalistic, subjecting the individual's interests to those of the state and enforcing its policies with a militarized domestic police force. Historically, fascist states have nationalized industry and had imperialistic goals and often defined national identity along racial or ethnic lines. I would argue that neofascism does not nationalize industries because in an oligarchy, industry is the de facto power behind the government. I think a very good case can be made that the current u.s. government tics most if not all the boxes and an unelected supreme court is undemocratic and by definition authoritarian. When the court abandons all pretense of following its own guidelines (precedent) to make ideologically driven pronouncements, it is arguably just a tool of that regime.

@InfoForYou8 I don't see how it's unethical to want to raise your kids in place where religious nut bags aren't allowed to inspect their neighbors' uteruses. Sure, some may be willing to die on this hill but I don't judge anyone for choosing a better life.
