  4. 1) Monowheels work perfectly well in World of Warcraft, but that's only because the usual laws of physics are selectively applied (or not). 2) Amphicars work perfectly well at Disney Springs, but that's only because there's a staff to keep them running. 3) Heinlein wrote a short story about an advanced version of moving sidewalk technology titled "The Roads Must Roll," but it's really about social and labor issues, not moving sidewalks. In the story, Heinlein predicts both linear urban sprawl and a transport pod that is basically a Segway. 4) Segways are just plain stupid.
