You overlooked the strong odds that, as an MLM distributor, the IRS will send  you a love letter, determine that your money-draining involvement with these companies is not a legitimate for-profit business endeavor, disallow all of your "business" deductions, and present you with a hefty tax bill (plus penalties and interest).
