Maybe people stopped believing when the WHO, the CDC, and that little attention-whoring gnome who is not anyone's personal physician relentlessly contradicted themselves on a weekly basis. Maybe people stopped believing when many politicians leveraged a "fortified" bat virus into blatantly Authoritarian power grabs. Maybe people stopped believing when certain Governors knowingly sent infected people into nursing homes full of the especially vulnerable in spite of the presence of sufficient hospital beds on naval hospital ships and ad hoc overflow facilities, just to make certain other politicians look bad. Maybe people stopped believing when constant reports of strained health systems repeatedly proved to be exaggerated just to satisfy the media's fear p0rn fetish. Maybe people stopped believing when "two weeks to slow the spread" passed the one year mark. Maybe people stopped believing when their family businesses were destroyed by capricious, non science-supported lockdown edicts while multinational mega-corporations not only survived but realized record profits.
