  1. The 2021 Form 1040 tax filing season is STILL ongoing until the extended deadline on Monday. You cannot say you "never got it" yet! 2021 tax refunds have been lagging by about 4 months. If you "went under" because of not getting it, you might be withholding too much from your retirement pay. Consult a tax pro.

  2. If the IRS destroyed paper Forms 1099 before entering them into the system, then they won't know about the income reported thereon and there'd be no mismatch. This guy has it backwards.
