  1. You counted the ORIGINAL purchase of 27,000 acres as the current size of WDW. It is not. The de-annexation of Celebration removed about 4,900 acres from the resort property, making its current size "merely" 22,100 acres. Even though Disney controls some entities than own property within the community and also occupies office space in Celebration, it is NOT part of WDW. It is an unincorporated community development district in Osceola County.
