So, it's "Terminator XXVIII: Rise of the Plot Devices." Got it.
933
"Purple-haired Space Karen" is a far, far better name than "Admiral Gender Studies." How are you not more famous?
765
A beloved character, an experienced and competent actress, and a well-known and extensively developed cinematic universe. How could they possibly screw it up this badly? As Jeff Goldblum might say: "Disney, uh, finds a way."
659
Subtext: This is the movie that put him on the sauce.
535
I think the sphere was actually the prototype Apple iTesticle.
345
"Conan the Librarian."
85
The plant (near Gaffney) was never completed and never commissioned, thus never fueled. No radiation. Literally the least of their concerns.
43
You forget that the Ken dolls have no genitalia.
19
@Pale Rider You are literally correct, but the OP's context made it clear that he meant that he is American Indian/First Nations/Tribal/Etc. Seems like a pretty based dude - cut him some slack!
18
@AmandaFessler You got that exactly backwards, much like the director. Heinlein had nothing to do with the script. The movie completely missed the mark. Everyone who read the book utterly HATED the movie. Major differences: The Bugs had starships and advanced weapons, just like the humans. The MI used powered armor, which was the coolest part of the book but completely missing from the film. Putting the welfare of home, friends, and family ahead of your own was what gained you citizenship. Taxpayers had the same rights as citizens except for the ability to stand for elected office and vote. There were multiple paths to citizenship, not just military service. Would you like to know more? Read the book. It's a classic.

@ernestoribeiro2226 You clearly don't understand orbital mechanics. Jupiter is roughly 5 times as far from Sol as Earth. It's also NOT stationary - it orbits Sol, as do we. Applying the inverse square law tells us that light reaching Earth from Jupiter would be far, FAR dimmer than the sunlight reflecting from our moon - no matter our relative positions. Your conclusion is not merely wrong, it is VERY wrong.

I'm pretty sure the main characters' names are Excruciatingly Boring Vlogger and Blue Gamora. Supporting characters included Doctor Research Lady, Greedy Money Dude, and Evil Mercenary Caricature.
12
@iheikitsune Pure trash babble from some D-lister who never read the book. Lady Jessica was QUITE "empowered." The BG ordered her to bear the Duke's daughter as an integral component of their creepy breeding program. She violated their order and instead bore him the son he desired by HER choice. She CHOSE to break the rules again by training her son in the mystical BG ways. She was key to their escaping the Harkonnen forces. She became one of the most powerful Reverend Mothers ever known. She was far from being some inconsequential second-tier character. All Ferguson has done here is demonstrate why no one should ever take an actor's opinion seriously.
11
I'm warning you now: Next year, Hollywood will produce a crossover movie (or series) combining peak 2020 with peak 2021 and it will be titled either "Squid King" or "Tiger Game."
10
"Least bad." High praise indeed.
10
I'm kind of interested in seeing how well John Wick does against agents inside the Matrix. If they're smart, they'll leave his dog alone.

@stupidanon5941 The short version is: "Eggs have an expiration date." The slightly less charitable version of that is "Men age like wine, women age like milk." In my own case, I have a reasonably fulfilling life and say that "a man needs a woman like a fish needs a snorkel."
6
"The Force Awakens" should have been titled "A New A New Hope."
6
@madjukesmeg Well, she was quite the hottie in "Jurassic Park."
5
Here's a thought: Don't make a movie that already exists.
4
I can't wait to see this movie... in the cutout bin at Wal-Mart.
4
A fresh Drinker video is ALWAYS a flawless victory!
4
The worst thing about Ruby Rhod was that the character inspired/foreshadowed livestreaming. I'd rather face the evil death planet while armed only with a wooden spoon.
4
You've completely missed the point of the Kelvin timeline. Its entire purpose was to make us all realize that Star Trek V was not nearly as horrible as we thought.
3
@AmandaFessler My bad. I misread your post.
3
I haven't watched one minute of "Stranger Things" so I will plan to see this movie. I just pray they don't screw it up...
3
@alaricgoldkuhl155 Jubal?
3
Star Wars Episode 9: Too Many Fetch Quests.
3
@countofdownable Correct.
2
@Chris.1812 Eye see what you did, there.
2
It may suck hot, dry wind but I'm still going to watch it (eventually) because: Did you see her legs in that dress?!?
2
The Drinker's analyzing "Jaws?" We're gonna need a bigger internet.
2
@fobbitoperator3620 Haven't seen it yet. Some day!
2
@Punching Bag She didn't say "female dinosaur," she just tacked on "woman inherits the earth" to Ian Malcolm's rant because, as you know, it was in the script. Like, what's your point?
2
@Punching Bag Yes I did. It's certainly true that KK has well and truly earned a healthy dose of contempt from the fans of the IPs she's denigrated, that line in JP was just a silly joke. I have faith that we shall survive it.
2
@occam2012 I got it for free in a multi-film collection and still haven't watched it!
2
@ericgrace9995 I thought the description sounded vaguely like the robot from "Forbidden Planet" but with a man inside, more flamethrowers, and lots of parachutes. :)
2
I've never watched this steaming pile but why do all the actors look like they're fifth-rate cosplayers recruited from a cheaply produced and poorly managed Star Trek convention held in Fresno in 1979?
2
@alaricgoldkuhl155 Been a while for me, too. Even as a teen, I never bought that the "Fair Witness" thing could ever possibly exist. Especially if they're banging the attorney!
2
Meanwhile, we're still waiting for a movie or miniseries about the Battle off Samar.
2
Just like Star Trek VI was the last Star Trek movie ever filmed, there was only one Matrix movie, and Scrubs ran for no more than 8 seasons.
2
I think Steve Rogers returned the Tesseract to the wrong cinematic universe.
2
@f0rth3l0v30fchr15t The explodiest!
2
I went to Disney Springs for lunch last week and the place was thickly festooned with promotional material for this film which made me bump into a LOT of people because my eyes rolled skyward every time I saw one of the posters.
2
The one high point: The lead actress looked GREAT when wet.
2
I've never made up my mind if this is the best dumb movie or the dumbest best movie but, either way, I unapologetically maintain that it's among my top ten favorites. I usually watch it right about now-ish, just as I always watch "Tora! Tora! Tora!" on December 7th.
2
@chrisrowe2308 I didn't say a word about "Pulp Fiction."
2
Conveniencium. 🤣
2
Disney apologists: "But... but... but the lightsaber cauterizes the wound! It'll be fine."
2
Wasn't Ice Berg a Swedish rapper from the early 90s? 🤣
