NOT TRUE. WDW has 77,000 employees. There are at least SIX companies that beat them in Florida. Publix has about 197,000 employees. Darden Restaurants has more than 178,000. You should be aware that you can look up this crap before making yourself look like a fool.

@lordbread2083 But how much were they costing the local jurisdictions? Roads, airport expansions, etc. I-4 has been soaking up BILLIONS in expansion projects since the 60s. Disney doesn't pay for that - the entire state (roughly 10%) and nation (roughly 90%) do.

@paulaw418 But they do. The enormous pre-existing tourist base was the reason Disney located there in the first place. Flagler laid the foundation. Disney merely built atop it.

@paulaw418 Oops, your notification appeared after my post about the other tourism companies for some reason, so I thought you were referencing my post about Universal, SeaWorld, etc. My answer is now: so what? The OP was talking about EMPLOYMENT, not tourism revenues. Your point is a non sequitur.
