  1. Didn't there used to be about 7,000 transit cops employed by the MTA? Now they're just part of the NYPD and down to HALF of their former strength, right? I wonder if there is some sort of correlation with the spiking crime rate in the subway, but I guess we'll never know. <--sarcasm.
