  1. Fuel cells are just inefficient, excessively complicated batteries that can explode and kill you. If you obtain the hydrogen and oxygen from electrolysis, you will NEVER get back as much energy as you put into the process.

  2.  @lustfulvengance  I can drive to any one of a dozen gas stations within 2 miles of my house right now and buy 12 gallons of gas with no problem whatsoever. Where do I go to top off a fuel cell with oxygen and hydrogen? According to Google, there are TWO such fueling stations in my entire city of roughly 2 million people, the closest being over 20 miles from my home. Contrary to what you see in movies, cars RARELY explode. However 1/12 of all manned Apollo missions had fuel cells explode.
