  1.  @josephcavaliere9772  Utah was a training vessel used for target practice, not an active-duty combatant. She lost about 50 men. The fact that the Japanese wasted so much ordinance on her doubtless saved a few ships and a lot of lives.

  2. Drachinifel has an excellent 3-part series of videos here on YouTube that tell the story of the salvage efforts at Pearl. Basically every damaged and/or sunk warship except the Arizona and Oklahoma were able to get back in the fight and take a healthy bite out of the IJN's (or IJA's via shore bombardment) hide before the war ended.
