  2. Mr. Pool, Southern California HAS been stealing water from multiple sources for more than half a century. First, they turned the fertile Owens Valley into a desolate wasteland, then they stuck a straw in the Colorado, then they started siphoning water from the Sacramento/San Joaquin delta. It wasn't enough. It will NEVER be enough when they allow people to grow turf lawns in a desert as if they were in Kentucky or Florida or some other place that actually gets rain. Water that goes down your sinks and toilets can be captured, treated, and re-used. Water on your yard can NEVER be recovered (and humans don't eat lawn grass). The ONLY solution is to jack up the water rates to reflect reality and encourage climate-appropriate landscaping/xeriscaping. You'd think that would be easy to enact in The People's Dictatorship of California!
